Verification Partners (Pty) Ltd (“VP”) is a fully accredited B-BBEE rating agency, recognised by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) since 2011 under accreditation number BVA133. Our accreditation confirms our compliance with national verification standards and authorises us to issue credible, independent B-BBEE certificates in accordance with the B-BBEE Act and the Codes of Good Practice.

Our Role in the B-BBEE Framework

B-BBEE verification plays a critical role in South Africa’s economic transformation framework. As an independent third-party rating agency, Verification Partners is responsible for assessing and validating a measured entity’s B-BBEE status based on documented evidence and legislative requirements.

Our role is similar to that of an auditor, but focused specifically on empowerment compliance. We do not provide consulting or advisory services on how to structure scorecards or improve scores. Instead, our responsibility is to:

  • Apply the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice accurately and consistently

  • Evaluate submitted evidence objectively

  • Ensure independence and impartiality in all verification activities

  • Issue SANAS-recognised B-BBEE certificates that withstand regulatory and commercial scrutiny
